Why subscribe?

Before you subscribe, you might want to know what you are getting yourself into, because this is no ordinary mailing. (Were guessing that’s what everybody claims, but in this case, it might just be true...)

Our belief: Random stuff matters. Creativity isn’t a linear process. Inspiration comes from literally anywhere. And definitely not from the shitloads of way too serious (boring) professional newsletters floating around the internet.

Our mission: Bring back inspiration, or even just some fun, in a sea of seriousness.

What: Relevant Randomness is a weekly newsletter made up of the best of advertising land and the absolute worst from the internet. In our own TOV, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. And we can’t stress that enough, we DON’T take ourselves too seriously.

Our story: This mailing started of as an internal project for Publicis Groupe Belgium. And from now on we’re sharing it with the world as well.

And to be fair we just want to have some fun. You have been warned.

So, who are we?

There is 2 of us, Jan Govaert & Nicolas Vergauwen. Both currently active in advertising as strategists / planners / strategic planners (whatever you prefer to call it). We met at Publicis Groupe Belgium and while Nico is still doing his thing over there. Jan recently moved to Dept Agency in Amsterdam. It’s a bit sad we don’t get to see each other on a daily basis - but it doesn’t stop us from keeping this train-wreck of a mail running.
